Mark Prior's shoulder is still very much in question. While Prior said last month that he expected to be ready for Opening Day, the Sun-Times' sources believe he'll probably be out until June. I'm wondering if Kerry Wood will be back next season?
He wants a raise and he wants to start again.
He looked pretty good towards the end of the season so it is tempting to bring him back and see what he has as a starter but it could be a waste of money if he blows out his arm again.

The Chicago Cubs should not bring back catcher Jason Kendall, who cannot even slow down running games. Rookie Geovany Soto showed in September that he can be the starter for the next decade. read more »

I wouldn't call him a "bust" just yet but if he doesn't learn patience at the plate, to hit left handed pitching and breaking balls fast he could be one very soon. So the question is what do the Cubs do with him?

I think the plan should be for him to see it out for a while in AAA while we bring in a vet to open the season in CF. read more »

After hitting .332 in the second half and playing well in center, Jacque Jones increased his trade value. His power drop, from 27 home runs to five, is alarming, but his contract is no longer an albatross because it has only one year left. Matt Murton hit .319 against left-handers but only .257 against right-handers. If Jones stays, they'll probably platoon in right.
