Contract talks between the Diamondbacks and Tony Clark are at an impasse, Clark's agent said Monday, and the veteran first baseman will likely file for free agency today.
The Diamondbacks still will have a two-week exclusive negotiating window before Clark can speak with other teams, but agent John Boggs did not sound as if the sides are close to a deal.

People can talk about intangibles and the other things he brings to the table....but it's not enough to make up for this. The bottom line is he is a league average corner outfielder, and thats AFTER you take into account his defense and base stealing.....and to pay a league avg corner outfielder 10 million a year and give him a no trade clause is bad thinking, no matter how cool the kids think h read more »
