I read that former Mariners pitching coach who I'm sure you know had great success with the Mariners and the staff here a few years back. Bryan Price had signed a 1 year deal last year with the diamondbacks and Bob Melvin. So he should be available this off season the Mariners I think should try to pursue him. read more »

I was reading some other boards, the Pirates may be looking to shop Jason Bay (who is coming off of an off-season due to a knee injury). Just wanted to see what others thought. I would love to see it happen, I think that if you could add another power hitting all-star (albeit every team has to have one representative) you should go for it.

I may thinking a little too far ahead. If the Mariners re-sign Guillen the Mariners outfield would be set for next season, and we can pretty much scratch off any outfielders from the free agency list(which is a pretty good list). Torii Hunter, who I'm sure is going to want a huge pay check would make this team a contender in the west.

Jeff Clement drove in five runs as the Javelinas clobbered Team China 20-4 in Monday's AFL action.
The mercy rule came in effect for Team China's second straight game, as the National Team dropped to 1-3 in AFL play. Clement had a three-run homer and a two-run single in his third game back after missing time to attend a wedding. He's batting .360 with two homers in 25 at-bats.
