Josh Bard doesn't cut it as a starting catcher. Sure he hits in his moments, But he cant throw out anybody. For some reason I really like Barret if he was given the everyday job. He promising given the starting job. read more »

i think i read that he threw out 36% of base stealers last year in AA san antonio on top of hitting 20 homers and 72 RBI's in only 373 AB's i know hes not known for his defense but ive heard suggestions of bringing in ausmus for defense but he wasnt that great either at 26% and he cant hit. Maybe he could be a solid backup with some power if hes ready

id say a peavy type deal for 3-4 years with an option. Hes a great defender and can hit with power. if he can develop some discipline at the plate and stay healthy he'll be one of the elite. read more »
