I really try to stay away from the potential and hypothetical posts, but IF and I say IF we can't land a a top tier CF, the next best thing would be to sign Geoff Jenkins.

Why? - I think we can get him cheep and that would make our line-up good enough to afford Jerry Owens in CF/ lead off.

Basically... he's a real good fit.

I read a published report which suggested Crede could be going to the Yankees for Damon since the Yankees have M.Cabrera to play CF and just picked up the option on Abreu. I would welcome Damon with open arms. He can play LF or CF and hit leadoff for the Sox. I'd play him in LF with Owens in CF.
